About Kirstie

When the joy goes out of eating, nutrition suffers. – Ellyn Satter

Hi! My name is Kirstie, and I love food. Professionally speaking, I am a registered dietitian (RD), which means it’s my job to talk about food. WHAT. I love it. The neat thing about being an RD is everyone understands food because we all eat! The tricky thing about being an RD is a lot less people understand nutrition. There are many crazy things on the internet that seem to cause a lot more harm than help. My goal is to help others embrace nutrition and the joy of eating, so I started this website to share evidence-based nutrition information, healthy eating tips, and my favourite recipes!

I’ve loved food since I was a tiny human, so it’s a joy knowing I get to embrace a career I’m passionate about. I graduated from the University of British Columbia with a Bachelor’s of Science in Food, Nutrition, and Health, with honours, as a dietetics major. (It’s a mouthful, I know). I am currently registered with the College of Dietitians of BC, and I work as an clinical dietitian in inpatient and outpatient care for Fraser Health.

I also offer individualized nutrition counselling sessions. Read more about what it looks like to work with me, or go ahead and contact me. You can also find me on Instagram and Facebook.

Outside of the food world, I am also in love with my husband David, cozying up with a book, running, a good hike in the mountains, and Jesus.
